Vitiligo Research at Life Force:
One of the unique strengths of Life Force is that it has a research wing connected with the clinic, which is ISO 9001:2000 certified. At Life Force, there are ongoing research projects for various diseases. Vitiligo is one of them.
Dr Shah believes very strongly that if homeopathy has to be made available to larger segment in the world, it will have to be supported by research. Research in homeopathy as per modern research protocols will be required for better results and advancements. Homeopathy is a treasure yet not fully tapped. It is only scientific research, which will help grow this faculty of medical science.
Vitiligo Clinical trials:
At this point Dr Rajesh Shah, MD is working some research projects, which include a major vitiligo clinical trial using homeopathic medicines. Ethics committee, formed as per ICMR guidelines, approves these projects. The research is being conducted with all scientific parameters applied in the conventional medical research. Dr Shah is the principal investigator (PI) for the project.
How to participate in the clinical trial:
The Vitiligo clinical trial will be open to participation in the month of January 2012. About 116 patients will be taken under the study. The patients will be recruited as per inclusion and exclusion criteria determined and approved by the Ethics Committee. The patients will be treated for a specific period. The patients will have to sign an Informed Consent Form before participation. Those willing to participate in the study can apply to research@lifeforce.in , giving basic details such as full name, disease name, address, contact details and some description of the disease or call 022.66888888.
